Terms of Service

Welcome to PocketWarden! PocketWarden provides a voice-operated expense tracking application to help users manage their personal finances (collectively, the "Services"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are entered into by PocketWarden and the individual or entity accepting these Terms ("User," "you," or "your") and govern your access to and use of the Services. By using or accessing the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Your Account

To use the Services, you must create an account. You agree to provide us with accurate, complete, and current account information at all times. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. Do not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account. If you know or have any reason to suspect that your account has been compromised, you agree to notify us immediately at [email protected].

2. Your Content

A. Ownership. All of your content remains yours; PocketWarden does not own it. However, to provide you with the Services, we need your permission and authorization. Therefore, when you submit content to the Services, you grant PocketWarden a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access, use, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing, improving, and protecting the Services.

B. Voice Input and Financial Output. The Services use artificial intelligence capabilities ("AI Features") to process voice commands. When you submit audio ("Input"), PocketWarden uses AI Features to generate transaction records, such as amounts, categories, and descriptions ("Output").

  • Input (Audio): We process your audio Input in real-time or near real-time. We do not retain your original audio recordings after the transaction has been successfully processed.
  • Output (Financial Data): The financial records generated from your Input are stored securely associated with your account to provide you with your expense history and analytics.

C. Accuracy. PocketWarden makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy of any Output. AI transcription and extraction may contain errors. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to verify the accuracy of the transaction details generated by the Services before relying on them for financial planning or tax purposes.

3. Restrictions

You agree not to engage in any abusive or violating behavior, including:

  • Violating or circumventing any security measures.
  • Reverse engineering any part of the Services.
  • Using the Services for any illegal purpose or to facilitate illegal activities.
  • Using the Services to record others' speech without their consent.
  • Sharing your account with others to circumvent fees or limitations.

4. Fees and Payment

PocketWarden is available for purchase or subscription through the Apple App Store. All payments, subscriptions, and billing are managed directly by Apple and are subject to their terms and conditions.

  • Subscriptions: If you purchase a subscription, it will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings.
  • Refunds: All refund requests must be directed to Apple Support, as PocketWarden does not have the ability to process refunds for App Store transactions.

5. Warranty Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, POCKETWARDEN MAKES NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE SERVICES. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." POCKETWARDEN DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT THE AI OUTPUT WILL BE COMPLETELY ACCURATE.

PocketWarden is a tool for tracking expenses and does not constitute professional financial, tax, or legal advice.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POCKETWARDEN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the Services, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
